Konnoak Updates and Announcments for March 22nd

Today is day 126(Day 2 of Specials)
  • Mission Statement: Konnoak Elementary School will provide a quality education in a nurturing environment that will develop each child’s potential and promote life-long learning.
  • Vision Statement: Students will learn and succeed in a safe, engaging, and caring climate of high expectations and supportive relationships
  • Staff Development:Winter and Spring technology courses are now available for registration. This includes our day long trainings held over spring break for teachers who need credit or just want to learn more. Flyers for the courses are on the Technology Facilitator's webportal as well as the SchoolCenter calendar. Just a reminder that we offer new online courses for technology each month. If you have staff members interested, please have them go to the Staff Development and Evaluation link on the Employees tab. When they begin registration, they can choose Online for the location to see the list of courses available. The instructor of the course will contact them after they are registered.In addition we are working on course that may be taken online and available for upcoming March days. We will share specific details next week.

  • Monday
    • End-of-Quarter Test for Science
    • Principal's Lunch Club name to Ms. McCoy
    • I have an Equity Plus mtg at Atkins HS at 12:00 pm
    • K-2 Data Night from 5:30-7:00.  Schedule is:
      • 5:30-6:15 Parents in the gym
      • 6:15 Travel to the classrooms
      • 6:20-6:45 Parents in Classroom
      • 6:45-until Parents in cafeteria for pizza
  • Tuesday
    • End-of-Quarter Test in Reading
    • NCI training at the Gathering Place
    • All Kindergarten Teachers are invited to attend the board meeting for recognition for the Haiti Efforts at 6 pm
  • Wednesday
    • No PLCs today
    • End-of-Quarter for math inactive
    • I will be at a New Teacher Evaluation all day
    • Picture Day in the gym.  Please follow the calendar that was provided for you.
    • Staff Development in Literacy from 2:35-4:00
    • 6 plus 1 Writing Traits from 4:15-5:15
  • Thursday
    • No PLCs today
    • End-of-Quarter Math Active
    • I will be at the Real Men Teacher Induction Cermony starting at 3 pm
    • Kidsperation Training at 2:45 pm in the Computer Lab
    • EOG and Data Night for Grades 3-5 from 5:30-7:00.  Schedule is:
      • 5:30-6:15 Parents in the gym
      • 6:15 Travel to the classrooms
      • 6:20-6:45 Parents in Classroom
      • 6:45-until Parents in cafeteria for pizza
  • Friday
    • Multiplication Tournament
    • Timesheets are due before you leave
    • End-of-Quarter Make-ups
    • Principal Lunch Club at 11:30
  • Employees will work on the following professional days:
    • Friday, June 11: Reserved for school vote
    • Monday, June 14: Reserved for central office
    • Tuesday, June 15: Reserved for schools
