- Today is day 102
- Mission Statement: Konnoak Elementary School will provide a quality education in a nurturing environment that will develop each child’s potential and promote life-long learning.
- Vision Statement: Students will learn and succeed in a safe, engaging, and caring climate of high expectations and supportive relationships
- Books for the African Book Project can be dropped off in the front lobby. Please encourage your students to participate. You can join them in donating books as well. We have until February 19.
- Dr. Martin has received quite a few questions about going to school Monday. He is going to send out an AlertNow message about perfect attendance. Since parents planned absences in good faith and since perfect attendance is an award that many schools give, Monday's absence WILL COUNT for student accounting purposes but will NOT COUNT against a student receiving a perfect attendance certificate.
- Please make sure that if you send students out of your room, that you provide them a hall pass.
- Do not leave any of your students unattended. If you need to step out of the classroom, please make sure you have coverage.

Students can pay $5 cardinal cash to attend.
Teachers need to take a list of students who know they want to participate (and can pay) on Feb. 18th and send it to Dr. Jones.
Dr. Jones, Mrs. Johnson, Mr. Bedard will monitor. (anyone else that is free right at 12:30 please let us know and help—the craziest time will be at the beginning.
Mrs. Smart (and possibly Mrs. Baylor) will be in charge or popcorn and drinks.
Students CAN still participate after this date, you would just need to continue to send the names to Dr. Jones. This is going to help us estimate the popcorn and drink numbers.
Students will pay their cash at the door—it must be valid with the teacher signature and can not be counterfeit.
LUNCH: If your students are in lunch at this time you can either: work out a earlier time for them to come (ex. 1-2 teacher takes all of the Ks who are participating for the very first lunch time and the others go at the later ones) OR you can ask the cafeteria to provide just those students in your class with disposable trays and they can take them into the gym.
SPECIALS: will not be cancelled—Mrs. Weston will come to your room if it conflicts with the movie time.
Ms. Thomas will be sending out directions and flyers to the staff. They will also be posted in the lounges and on the PBS bulletin boards.
Quote of the Week: Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn't happen, you have worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice. -Anonymous
