AM Announcements for January 28th

1. Today is day 94.
2. Mission Statement: Konnoak Elementary School will provide a quality education in a nurturing environment that will develop each child’s potential and promote life-long learning.
3. Vision Statement: Students will learn and succeed in a safe, engaging, and caring climate of high expectations and supportive relationships.
4. Arts Council Information:
The Arts Council Drive will begin on Friday, January 29th. The pledge forms and brochures will be in your boxes at that time. Please take a few minutes to read the brochure as it gives information as to where the monies go and are spent. Please consider a donation to the Arts Council. Everyone can give at least $1.00. Last year our staff gave $1000.00. This amount was given by only 34% of the staff. We won the award for the most increased giving of any other Elementary school. Thanks for considering to assist something that helps our city with two of its most valuable assets: arts and culture. If you wish to have your contribution deducted from your pay check, it will be deducted for 10 months if you are a 12 month employee. Any question, please feel free to find me in Room 112. Our goal for 2010 is $1150.00 (an increase of $150 over last year!)
5. SIT to meet off campus from 11:30-3:30
6. Make sure you cut off ll electronic devices when you leave for the day.
7. Construction is going well in the 1st grade wing. The March 22nd completion date is still on go. Understand that weather could delay the project
8. Awards Assembly has been changed to February 5th
9. Report Cards are due by 4 pm on Friday. Please submit K-2 to Mrs. Johnson and 3-5 to Dr. Jones
10. I have a Title One Budget meeting at 8 am
11. Ms. Denny and Ms. Dees' classes will be going to Old Salem. I failed to mentions that the other threes second grade classrooms went yesterday.
