Today is day 150(Day 3 of Specials)

• Principal's Lunch Club at 11:30 in the media center
• I will be at a Celebrity Read at Hall-Woodward at 1 pm
• LeapFrog Pilot Training for selected teachers starting at 7:45 am in the media center
• The buliding will be open from 9:30-12:00 on Saturday
• In order to better serve your professional development needs, please take a few minutes to respond to an anonymous survey. The survey can be found on the Administrators' or Teachers' webportal. You will log in and click on the Professional Development Needs Assessment Survey on the left side of the screen. That will take you to the survey where you will click on Respond to Survey at the top to complete on or before May 17, 2010.  Thank you for your participation
  
  Book Fair Information

• Media Center will be cancelled due to Book Fair Set-up on Thursday May 6th
• Book Fair Preview on May 7th
• Sale will begin on May 10th.
• Please do not send students to the book fair alone
• Please do not leave your students unattended during the book fair

To clarify, we will no longer be sending progress reports via email. Parents who have been receiving emails should be directed to use Parent Assistant. We are not eliminating printed reports for parents who do not have access to a computer...this only affects parents who have been getting emails. The following message was sent through AlertNow Friday informing parents of this as well.

This is a message from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools for parents who have been receiving Progress Reports through email. All student progress reports are now available through Parent Assistant, an online resource that allows parents to access student progress, discipline, and attendance any time, any day. Although the information is available 24 x 7, please allow teachers one week to input grades.
If you do not already have an account, please go to your child’s school (you should go to the school of your oldest child if you have more than one.)
We hope that many of you are already utilizing this resource as we strive to seek the most effective means for communication between home and school.

Today is day 148(Day 1 of Specials)

EOG Test Training in the gym from 2:45-4:30. Review the email that was sent to you by Raegen Autry. This is required as we have many mods this year. If you have any questions, see me.

• Schoolwire Training: We are offering this training on May 27th at 2:45 pm. See Ms. Ulrich for more details. In addition, Basic Training for Schoolwires will be offered for any teacher @ CO Room 168 from 4:00-5:00 pm on 4/29, 5/4, 5/6, 5/11, 5/12, 5/13.
• Our EC students will be participating in the Special Olympics
• 6 + 1 Writing Traits Training-Convention 
• All renovated rooms have installed dehumidifiers in the room.

• Schoolwire Training: We are offering this training on May 27th at 2:45 pm. See Ms. Ulrich for more details. In addition, Basic Training for Schoolwires will be offered for any teacher @ CO Room 168 from 4:00-5:00 pm on 4/29, 5/4, 5/6, 5/11, 5/12, 5/13.
• As we approach the final months of the school year, technology would like to support you in the transition from their SchoolCenter pages to the new Schoolwires teacher webpages. Teachers have 2 choices:
• They can attend this training at your school to get face-to-face help on transferring their webpage.
• They can work on their own to save their complete website before our contract with SchoolCenter expires June 30thDenise and I will be at a Volunteer Breakfast at 7:30 am
• Spring Musical to be performed for our school at 1:30 pm. We will ask 4th and 5th grade to eat lunch in their rooms in order to have time to clean the cafeteria.  We have switched lunch times with Kindergarten and 4th grade.
• I have my allotment conference at 3 pm with Charlene Davis
• Spring Musical to be performed at 6:30 pm

Renovation Updates- Projected:

• May 3rd-5th: Final Cleaning Sytages
• May 6th-
• Kindergarten to move back to your rooms
• Ms. Dye back to her room

• Ms. Hoover to move back to room #10
• May 10th:
• Begin to move MAP I and computer lab

All dates subject to change.  I will keep you posted as EOG Testing may effect the MAP I and Computer Lab moves.

Congratulations to Denise McCoy who was the President of ESP for the State.  She is also in the Final Four for the Classified Employee of the Year!  Way to go Denise!!!!
