Updates and Announcements for June 7th

Today is day 177

Staff Changes for next year:

Sherry Allen will be in Kindergarten
Eileen Hall will be in 4th grade
Wanda Evans will be in 5th grade

Retests: makeups: Today, tomorrow and possibly Wednesday (June 7-9) we will be doing Retest Make-ups. Testing will be taking place in the Bookroom, Music Room and Art Room. The following people will be involved:

Ms. Autry will call for students around 8:20 each morning.

• PBS Movie for 3rd in the media center at 9:00 am. Drinks and popcorn will be served
• Individuals interested in taking mentor training can do so this summer. The sessions have been moved to 8/11-8/13. You can sign-up for this on line.
• Please follow the EOY Calendar for the remainder of the week
• EOY Calendar Changes:
• June 8th- PBS movie for 4th and 5th grades in the gym at 10:00 am. Will change 4th and 5th grade lunch schedule. 4th will eat before their assembly
• June 8th-Yearbook signing for all grades at 1:45 pm. 2nd grade will come to the gym.

Announcements for June 3rd

Today is day 174(No Specials due to testing) 6 more days!!

• Ms. Johnson and I have a meeting at 11:30 am today
• EOG math inactive retest today

We will have a meeting for those who are experiencing air quality issues in the media center on Monday at 2:45 pm

• Kindergarten Celebrtation Tomorrow- All students will get a bag lunch and take it back to the room (or outside)to eat.  Kindergartten will be using the cafeteria.   
• 4th grade will be going to the Konnoak Hills Methodist Church for a brunch from 12-2.

Announcements for June 2nd

Today is day 172(No Specials due to testing)  8 more days!!

There will be a called Faculty Meeting at 2:45 today in the cafeteria.  The meeting should not last over 15 minutes. 

We would like to welcome DeMon Smith.  He is our new Data Manager.  He will be hear today at 10 am.

Konnoak Updates and Announcements for June 1st

Today is day 171(No Specials due to testing)  9 more days!!

 DUE TO A PBIS meeting, we will resume Retention Committee meetings on Wednesday with 2nd grade and Thursday with Kindergarten. 

5th grade students who passed the Science will be split up among K-4th grade classrooms. Also, throughout the week, those who passed reading and/or math will be in K-2 classrooms. Please check email in the morning for the exact names of students. These students can help you by reading to students, etc.

Remember our June 3rd parent night from 6-7.

• All air wick refreshners will need to be removed
• All interior doors need to be shut in order to keep rooms condition, especially in the Kindergarten and First Grade Wing.
• Please help our custodial staff by stacking your chairs at the end of each day.
• Dr. Weycker's office has the 2009-2010 K-2 Data Warehouse open for teachers to submit math and literacy assessments for their students. Directions for entering the data as well as new information regarding passwords may be found on the teachers' portal under Documents and then K2 Assessment Folder. This information may be found on the administrators' portal in the K2 Assessment Folder. If you have questions, please see Mrs. McCarthy. The link to the K-2 Warehouse may be found on the teachers' portal on the right hand side, labeled K2 Assessment Data Collection.
• The workshop proposals for the Title I/Equity Plus Conference "Raising the Bar for the 21st Century" are now in the system and ready for you to register. There are two proposals in the system. One for elementary schools and one for middle and high schools. All  certified staff members need to register for this training( I will check to see if classified have to attend). When registering please look for the following information:

• SchoolWires Training for the new web page. Remember: SchoolCentered web pages will be removed after June 30th. It is important that you attend this meeting.
• Please make sure that you are monitoring the playground.
